Furthermore, our experienced team will also cover all areas of techniques, etiquette and how to behave responsibly on the shooting ground, which should be taught and understood for all ages and levels of experience. 

How Old Do You Need To Be To Shoot?

Believe it or not, clay pigeon shooting can start from the age of seven. Here at Honesberie Shooting School, we offer a completely safe and specific course called ‘Young Shots’, where your child can spend a day learning everything there is to know about clay pigeon shooting. 

As part of this, we provide an introduction to different types of shooting ranging from clay pigeon shooting to archery, crossbows and air rifle shooting. So if your child expresses an interest in clay pigeon shooting, these days are a great way to get them started. 

Although the days are based around a fun learning experience for your child as experts guide them, we will also highlight the extreme importance of gun safety as mentioned above. On these shooting days for this younger age group, we start at 9.45am and continue until 4.00pm. Lunch is provided as well as snacks and refreshments. They’ll even walk away with a Honesberie Shooting School cap! 

Can I Attend Shooting Lessons?

Absolutely. We encourage you to! Our clay pigeon shooting instructors will show you everything you need to know. It really doesn’t matter if it’s your first time and you have no idea where to begin, learning a new skill needs some guidance. Our patient and highly-qualified instructors will work alongside you as you learn to become a safe and experienced shooter. There’s no rush in having this accreditation of full experience either. Even the most talented clay shooters will seek a bit of expert advice here and there. 

All of our clay pigeon shooting lessons include a dedicated and qualified coach, gun hire and all of the safety equipment you need, such as ear protectors.
